Holden, Missouri resident Gayle Rae Allen, 57, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at her home. She and her husband Fred “Thumper” Allen had previously been longtime Goodland, Kansas residents. She was born April 4, 1953, in Goodland, the daughter of Waneta Yvonne (Roberts) and Ernest Elmer Middleton. She attended Goodland High School and also earned her GED. On November, 2, 1969, she and Fred “Thumper” Allen were married at RLDS Church in Goodland, and they made their home in Goodland. Later they moved to Columbus, Ohio, and then in 2005 to Holden Missouri.

In Holden, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had been a test car driver for Honda at the Transportation Research Center. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, golfing, bowling, and softball, and her favorite times were with her family and grandkids.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers-in-law Bob Seibert and Gerry Delehoy. Surviving family includes her husband Fred “Thumper” Allen of Holden, Missouri; two daughters Tammy M. Freeman and Adam Freeman of Goodland; Candy L. Ginn and her husband Chris of Johnson Creek, Wisconsin; three grandchildren T.J. Freeman, Mikail Freeman, and Elizabeth Ginn; two sisters Glenda Seibert of Goodland; Maribeth Delehoy of McCook, Nebraska; brother Dale Middleton of North Platte, Nebraska; and her beloved companion Princess Marie, her dog. Memorials may be designated to Cancer Action or Crossroads Hospice.
